Variability in quantifying the Hill-Sachs lesion: A scoping review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background Currently, is there no consensus on a widely accepted measurement technique for calculating the Hill-Sachs lesion (HSL). The purpose of this review to provide an overview techniques and imaging modalities assess HSL pre-operatively. Methods Four online databases (PubMed, Embase, MEDLINE, COCHRANE) were searched literature various used quantifying HSLs, from data inception 20 November 2021. Methodological Index Non-Randomized Studies tool was study quality. Results Forty-five studies encompassing 3413 patients included in review. MRA MRI showed highest sensitivity, specificity, accuracy values. Intrarater interrater agreement shown be amongst MRA. most common reference tests measuring arthroscopy, radiography, arthro-CT, surgical techniques. Conclusion are reliable with good test diagnostic properties assessment HSLs. There wide variety assessment, however lack comparative exists. Thus, it not possible comment superiority one over another. Future comparing needed that incorporate cost-benefit analysis.

Imaging methods for quantifying glenoid and Hill-Sachs bone loss in traumatic instability of the shoulder: a scoping review
BACKGROUND Glenohumeral instability is a common problem following traumatic anterior shoulder dislocation. Two major risk factors of recurrent instability are glenoid and Hill-Sachs bone loss. Higher failure rates of arthroscopic Bankart repairs are associated with larger degrees of bone loss; therefore it is important to accurately and reliably quantify glenohumeral bone loss pre-operatively. ...
متن کاملThe Hill-Sachs lesion: diagnosis, classification, and management.
The Hill-Sachs lesion is an osseous defect of the humeral head that is typically associated with anterior shoulder instability. The incidence of these lesions in the setting of glenohumeral instability is relatively high and approaches 100% in persons with recurrent anterior shoulder instability. Reverse Hill-Sachs lesion has been described in patients with posterior shoulder instability. Gleno...
متن کاملOsteoarticular allograft reconstruction for hill-sachs lesion in an adolescent.
Glenoid and humeral head bone loss is the most common cause of failure after surgical shoulder instability stabilization. Large Hill-Sachs lesions involving >30% of the articular surface of the humeral head typically occur after neglected or locked shoulder dislocations. Such large lesions may require osteochondral allograft reconstruction or prosthetic replacement to regain shoulder stability ...

Background: To assess the outcome of the remplissage arthroscopic surgical method in patients with anterior shoulder dislocation associated with Hill-Sachs lesion. Methods: Ten patients with anterior shoulder dislocations and Hill-Sachs lesions were entered into this study and were operated on by the remplissage arthroscopic surgical method. They were followed up 22 months after surgery...
